Finding the right telecom subscription is associated with a huge time effort, overwhelming intransparent offers, and being courted by many providers. If it weren’t for alao, we would still be in that situation. But alao has taken action.
Bringing clarity into the jungle of telecom subscriptions
On their platform alao.ch, hundreds of available telecom subscriptions from the eight largest providers in Switzerland can be compared and purchased. All it takes is five minutes. alao guarantees his customers the lowest price and the best conditions. If a customer changes provider, alao takes care of everything by terminating the old contract and transferring the phone number free of charge.
Digitisation in the telecom business gets advanced
alao aims to digitalise the entire value chain of the telecoms business, which continues to be strongly characterised by retail. On the one hand, offering telecom subscriptions on a platform ensures customers have an excellent overview and shopping experience. On the other hand, it enables telecom partners to sustainably lower acquisition costs due to the digital-only approach and distribution via alao’s white-label partners.
“Deflationary prices put pressure on the acquisition costs of telco providers, and we help them deal with that by lowering these costs. At the same time, the deflation of the prices is reasonable, as the average customer still pays about 30% more than they should”, says Walter Salchli, CEO of alao.
alao’s track record is promising
Especially, alao’s track record has been convincing the SEF.Growth experts to award the young company with the SEF.Growth label. After entering the market in August 2019, alao has multiplied its sales volumes by 22 times by the end of 2020 and by 86 times by the end of 2022. The growth rate for the coming years will remain high as the white-label strategy is efficient and predictable.
Also, alao cooperates with the eight largest providers in Switzerland - Swisscom, Sunrise, Salt, Wingo, yallo, M-Budget, TalkTalk and Quickline. This means that alao already covers 98% of the telecom offers on the Swiss market. Also, the team feels confident about receiving the label for reasons beyond the growth and financial achievements: “As an innovative company, we are cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset in all our teams and providing the flexibility necessary for everyone to enjoy alao’s success as we continue to work towards massive growth.”
