Prof. Dr. Brian Rüeger

Prof. Dr. Brian Rüeger has been principal of the HWZ since October 2024. Previously, he headed the Institute of Marketing Management (IMM) at the ZHAW for over a decade, establishing it as the leading provider of marketing education in Switzerland.

As a serial entrepreneur, he integrated a globally active Swiss high-tech start-up into a publicly listed US company and advised international companies on growth strategies. In 2022, he was honoured by the ACEEU as 'Male Entrepreneurial Leader of the Year' (runner-up).

He holds a PhD from the University of Zurich on service orientation and service innovation.
